In 1972, Barry Conner had a vision to create a company that could build quality,
custom homes better, faster and at a lower cost than his competitors. Following
the principles over profit philosophy of other successful business leaders, Barry
believed that if you provided customers a quality built home, at a better price,
and treated customers with respect always following good, honest principles, our
business would be successful.
Now, three decades later, Americas Home Place is the largest independent custom
home builder in the country with 40 Building Centers and Model Centers located throughout
the south and more opening all the time to serve the growing need for quality, custom
homes throughout the region.
The hard work and dedication of our more than 350 professionals and 4000 Trade partners
who make America?s Home Place an integral provider of the American Dream for so
many families stand as a testament to the vision of our founder, Barry Conner, who
began with the simple dream of building better homes for his customers. A dream
that we all strive to continue to fulfill each day.
Our Mission
Our mission at Americas Home Place is to make the home building experience a positive
one for our customers. 3 out 5 new customers, in fact, are referred to us by satisfied
former customers. Since 1972, we have been building custom homes for families who
have their own land, with home plans ranging from the $80,000's to $300,000+.
To serve our customers more effectively, America's Home Place has developed a network
of Building Centers and Model Centers in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina,
Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Kentucky and Mississippi. We are Americas #1 "on your
lot" custom homebuilder.
Free In-House Architectural Design Assistance
At our sales offices, you will see over 100 custom home plans and designs that you
can use to build your new home free of charge. Your Professional Building Consultant
can assist you in choosing which home plan is best for you and guide you through
our many options. You can also customize any plan to better fit your particular
lifestyle and budget free of charge. Just tell us the changes you want to make and
our design staff will re-draw the plans to your specifications and re-estimate the
costs for you.
Home Customization
Each Building and Model Center features a variety of custom home options that you
can choose from without ever leaving our showroom. You can select your roofing,
cabinets, various countertop options, lighting, flooring, paint colors, siding choices,
and much more. This enables you to completely customize, upgrade and decorate your
new home at one location and eliminate the burden of going to several different
locations to make your choices.
Top-Quality Production Standards
America's Home Place is proud of the caliber of our Building Superintendents and
trade partners. America's Home Place has developed a system of site meetings and
pre-construction meetings prior to beginning construction. This assures you that
you are getting what you expect in your new home. You will work directly with your
building superintendent. Every stage of construction is checked by our superintendent
to assure you that our rigid quality standards are being met. And you are always
welcome to visit your home during construction. Approximately two weeks prior to
occupancy, we make a thorough inspection to identify all items of a minor nature,
which should be corrected. Our service crew will then promptly complete these items
in order that your new home will be complete when you move in.
